Admission

What is the fees – Yearly / Quarterly?

You are required to visit the school premises and enquire from either the Reception or the Accounts department

How do I have to pay fees – monthly / quarterly / annually?

School Fee is payable on a quarterly basis i.e. 3-months fee at a time as per the following quarter definition.

Q1 April – June 15th April onwards late fee of Rs. 50/- per day
Q2 July - September 15th July onwards late fee of Rs. 50/- per day
Q3 October - December 15th October onwards late fee of Rs. 50/- per day
Q4 January – March 15th January onwards late fee of Rs. 50/- per day

Fee can be paid through cash, Cheque/ Demand Draft, NEFT, Credit Card and Net Banking. Processing Fees will be applicable on payment by Credit Card, Debit Card and Net Banking.

Do I get a sibling discount?

No. You can enquire from the Accounts department when you visit us in the school.

What is the age criteria for admission to Nursery?

The child must have completed 3 years and less than 4 years of age as on the 1st April of the year seeking admission.  

Which society does the school belong to – Delhi or Ghaziabad?

We belong to the Ghaziabad Society. For further clarifications you can visit the Society Website – dpsgs.org.
 

Transport

What is the bus fees – monthly / quarterly / annually?

You are required to visit the school premises and enquire from either the Reception or the Accounts department

Tell me about the bus route and the stoppage of the buses.

According to the residence of the enquiring person. Also you can meet the Transport Incharge, who can give you more details about the bus route and the stop details you require.

What is the time duration a bus takes to complete the route?

According to the residence of the enquiring person. Also you can meet the Transport Incharge, who can give you more details about the bus route and the stop details you require. We ensure that the bus reaches the stop within the stipulated time.

Facilities

What facilities are provided by the school?

The school provides AC Classrooms with Smart Boards in all classes in the ECCE, Primary, Middle, Senior and the Senior Secondary Wings. We have a splash pool for the ECCE children.
We have state of the art labs, technology networked library, morning and evening sports academy, transport facility (school owned buses), In-house recording facility for music and theatre, medical room with a trained nurse.

Sports

What are the different sports opportunities provided by the school?

Separate training nets for cricket, lawn-tennis, a basketball court, football, hockey, table tennis, Yoga, Taekwondo.

Is there any morning academy in the school?

Yes. School organizes morning academies for football, hockey and basketball. This is especially for the students of DPSGV.

Do I have to pay for the morning academy?

The morning academy is free of cost for the students who study at DPSGV.

Is there any after-school sports facility in the school?

Yes. It is a paid facility after-school for cricket and lawn tennis under the guidance and patronage of expert professionals. Students from outside DPSGV can also join this facility.

General

What time does the school start and the school gates closed in the morning?

School gates are closed for disciplinary and security reasons according to the summer and winter timings and the classes.

Summer Timings:

Classes Nursery, Prep and I: 8:30 a.m.

Class II – XII: 7:30 a.m.

Winter Timings (will be updated accordingly)

What happens if students arrive late?

Children who arrive after 7:30 am are sent back home after their parents are called to pick them up.

Can my child leave the school during normal hours?

Once the child has come to school, parents and guardians are not permitted to take him / her back home during the school hours unless there is a major emergency. In such cases, the permission of the Principal/ Headmistress is mandatory. An Exit Pass for such emergencies must be completed by a parent or nominated guardians. These forms are available from the front office.

What happens if students are absent?

It is recommended that you contact the school via a proper means telephonically or by SMS to the class teacher of your child's absence. By texting, parents can avoid receiving a text message at 11 a.m. on the day of their child's absence. Application by the parent is required to be submitted.

What happens if parents enter the school during school hours?

All parents entering the school during normal hours of operation are required to sign the visitors' book in the front office before collecting a visitors' badge and should have a prior appointment. Parents are not permitted to enter the class rooms to meet their children or to seek unscheduled interviews with teachers during school hours. In case of emergency, parents / guardians must meet the Principal / Headmistress and adopt a course of action in consultation with them.

What if my child has special needs?

We can meet a variety of special needs in school.   Please discuss your child’s needs with the class teacher.  Also we have a Counsellor each at the primary, Middle, Senior levels who will be happy to meet with you to discuss specific concerns.

How can I approach the class teacher of my child?

Teachers are busy settling their classes first thing in the morning and can only receive the briefest of messages at that time.  They are more easily available on a working Saturday when they do not have their classes. Meeting subject teacher or a class teacher on working days is not permitted. In an emergency, prior appointment should be taken from Reception.  Teachers also meet parents more formally at parent/teacher meeting days. 

What do I need to do if my child is going to be absent from school?

 
After being absent a written application is required when the child returns. 
We consider regular attendance to be most important, but please keep your child at home if s/he is sick. If there is a need for your child to be collected from school during school hours, parents must sign a partial absence note located at the office, before collecting your child from the medical room facility.
 

Scholarship Scheme

Do you have any scholarship scheme for class XI students?

Yes, we have scholarships available for Class XI students based on the criteria followed by the school. We have full and half scholarships for meritorious students.
